THE OPPORTUNITIES
Property Directors lead dynamic high performing teams across the functional areas of Property Strategy, Engagement and Planning, Property Project Delivery, Facilities Management and Transformation.

Property Directors will have strong representation, engagement and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain a network of internal and external partners and resources across the AIC, Government and industry, coupled with effective written communication skills.

Property Directors require a demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and remain abreast of industry developments, be self-motivated, work effectively and responsively within a multi-disciplinary environment, and demonstrate effective, empathetic, outcomes focussed leadership. These roles may require some domestic and overseas travel. These roles will require flexibility to support the wider branch to take on other duties as required.

Property Directors will exercise a significant degree of independence and perform an important leadership role. They direct and manage a team to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity and to drive a culture of responsiveness, customer-service and quality.

Property Directors are responsible for influencing and developing strategy, policies, priorities and processes in relation to property. They provide high level advice to senior management as well as coordinating and assuming responsibility for complex or sensitive projects or work programs that have strategic, political and/or operational significance. This role will lead a team(s) and have resource management responsibilities including input to and management of budgets.

The key duties of the position include KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks for all roles: Pursue and maintain effective relationships with counterparts internally and externally; Lead a team and manage team resources, including people, finance and equipment/technology, in accordance with WHS and ASIS Policy; Working with line managers, assist with the development, coaching, mentoring and performance management of project team members, and the identification of their training needs; Provide reporting and advice to senior management and other staff; and Represent the Service across government and internationally, as appropriate. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The following education, qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded: Relevant tertiary qualifications particularly in a related field such as project management, property/estate management, architecture, construction management, change management etc (desirable); Extensive experience in leading and managing teams; A well-developed understanding of contemporary practices in property management, procurement, capital management, technical security requirements or change management; Demonstrated understanding of contemporary public-sector procurement processes; and An understanding of relevant construction security principles and standards. ROLE: DIRECTOR PROPERTY FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
The Director of Property Facilities Maintenance is responsible for facilities maintenance across the ASIS global footprint including; scheduled and responsive maintenance, delivery of all scheduled minor fit-out and refurbishment projects and the day-to-day upkeep of all ASIS properties, both domestic and overseas.

This position is also responsible for the management of the ServiceNow portal relating to facilities requests and for the development and integration of facilities management systems and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks: Lead the response to property management and maintenance issues, providing support to domestic and overseas locations; Develop and implement a scheduled maintenance program (required by legislation, manufacturer and industry best practice) for domestic and overseas locations; and Plan and deliver minor refurbishments to support moves to new ways of working, current staffing changes and restructures. ROLE: DIRECTOR PROPERTY STRATEGY, ENGAGEMENT AND PLANNING
The Director of Property Strategy, Engagement and Planning is responsible for property strategy and planning projects in support of station fit-outs and the establishment of new stations. This role proposes the ASIS Property priorities in alignment with DFAT and NIC stakeholders, security requirements and operational priorities, drives the internal and external engagement programme, manages new and proposed funding and oversees all property leasing arrangements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks: Engagement with DFAT, other agencies within the NIC and within the Service to agree and plan the property priorities of the Service; Develop and maintain the multi-year capital plan for capital works (new build and refurbishments); Lead the development of NPPs that relate to the property works program (including liaising with DFAT and other agencies for joint submissions); Initial planning and concept design for new work/refurbishment work to be completed by the delivery team; Managing leases and MOUs in relation to the ASIS property footprint; and Coordinating regular property reporting to relevant governance committees. ROLE: DIRECTOR PROPERTY TRANSFORMATION
The Director of Property Transformation is responsible for the development and implementation of property transformation projects. Domestically, this role will be pivotal in the planning and delivery of the refurbishment of existing domestic facilities, particularly in Canberra, as well as the identification and fit-out of new facilities as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks: Developing the Canberra Accommodation Strategy and a phased implementation plan for delivery based on utilisation and growth data and with flexibility at the core; Deliver a program of refurbishment of existing facilities and the identification and fit out of new facilities as required; and Leading the property transformation agenda through strong change management and communication. ROLE: PROPERTY PROJECTS DELIVERY
The Director of Property Projects Delivery as part of an overarching program of work, will have primary responsibility for supervising multiple projects and team members in the timely delivery of a range of property-related projects, both overseas and within Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks: Develop and obtain approval of specific project outcomes by developing and meeting stakeholder requirements defining the program of works; Lead a team of project managers to program, design and deliver property projects under an approved program of works; Make sound decisions to achieve outcomes that advance the department's objectives in project management and delivery in the domestic and overseas property estates; and Undertake complex procurement activities (including tenders) in line with Government policies, procedures and security framework.
