Your new team This role is a key continuous improvement and application support role building out the best digital tools to support Auto and General's customers.
You will support and improve systems used by Auto and General's customer-facing teams.
The role will be working in one of several cross functional agile teams, supported by roles including tester, business analyst and product owner.
All software is delivered via agile teams and deployed via a modern DevOps/CI pipeline to AWS.
This role will be working within a large technology team, consisting of developers, testers and agile practitioners in one of Auto and General's three fantastic locations of Toowong, Kawana or North Lakes.
The role Execute, and contribute to, improvement and innovation ideas for the system.
Work collaboratively within a cross functional Agile team, contributing to support, deployment, and development activities as required.
Leverage your experience to assist with solution designs and development of our modern architecture.
Perform other reasonable and relevant activities as requested from time to time to meet operational requirements What experience you'll bring Essential: At least 2+ years of Software Development or relevant industry experience Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and MicroService architecture Experience with Integration, APIs and GraphQL Solid understanding of NodeJS and Typescript Experience with AWS Services and Architecture GitLab CI/CD Experience or knowledge of application and system monitoring tools Experience with PostgresQL / RDS Ability to work in the Atlassian suite of products.
JIRA and Confluence Understanding of security implications for web applications (OWASP) Advantageous: React, Angular or Vue Experience with Terraform A background in financial services applications is an advantage Toowong Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
