Permanent full-time - Location: Townsville or Mount Isa
To conduct periodic computerised reviews of, and responses to children overdue for immunisation ('overdue runs'), and to conduct periodic checks on the accuracy of data held on ACIR on Indigenous children overdue for immunisation ('Indigenous cohorts'). To provide vaccination histories from AIR to vaccine service providers. Undertake data entry, as required, during other extraordinary situations such as communicable disease outbreak responses.
Role requirements While not mandatory, relevant tertiary qualifications, skills or experience in advanced data interpretation, analysis and presentation would be well regarded. Preferred experience with: Queensland Health Clinical and Administrative Information Systems, including the Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR), Notifiable Conditions Database, AUSLAB and Worldcare. Microsoft tools: SQL PowerBI, Visual Studio, Excel. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise and negotiate with team members and a wide variety of health professionals and organisations in order to achieve organisational objectives. Demonstrated ability to effectively develop project plans (when necessary), deliver outputs and manage competing work priorities to meet agreed deadlines and commitments. Demonstrated high level ability in understanding and managing medical or health related databases, including data entry, Excel spreadsheets and production of routine reports from databases. Broad knowledge of National and State Immunisation Program Schedules and their reminder systems, or ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge. Demonstrated ability to organise and analyse information and data from a variety of sources and to develop and implement strategies to effect systems improvements. Advanced organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work autonomously in a self-directed manner. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve the goals of the work unit.
