Our client is a large government organisation based in Ipswich, north of Brisbane. They are looking to bring on a Data Engineering Specialist with a focus on developing and maintaining data pipelines and architecture. This role requires 2 office days per week with the rest being from home. This is initially a contract through to June 2025.
The Role: This role requires expertise in data transformation, integration, and automation using CI/CD practices to support organisational data needs effectively. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting a data-driven culture and empowering stakeholders with actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain data transformation processes to facilitate data transfer between systems.Build and manage data models, reports, and dashboards that meet the evolving needs of diverse teams.Provide guidance to data users on appropriate data model utilisation.Follow and advocate for data governance and development policies.Stay informed on emerging technologies and provide recommendations for their application.Adhere to workplace safety, quality, and environmental standards.Qualifications: Essential: Experience in data transformation, ETL development, and integration; proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and TSQL scripting.Desirable: Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and Tableau.Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical skills for data integration, extraction, and quality analysis.Deep understanding of data quality, security, and AGILE methodologies.Proficient in data modelling and analytics platforms.Effective communicator with diverse teams, able to document technical solutions clearly.Creative in data representation through reports and dashboards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
