Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Brisbane, CBD
Contract Length: End of June 2025
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data management and architecture solutions, ensuring accurate and timely data analysis and reporting. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and utilize various technologies such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
Responsibilities: Design and implement data management and architecture solutions using Microsoft Fabric.Develop and deploy data loaders to load data into Microsoft Fabric.Ensure data quality and identify opportunities for improved data analysis.Design adaptable downstream reporting data sources and models.Filter, tag, join, parse, and normalize data sets for analytics models.Collaborate with statistical modelers and report analysts to provide high-quality data.Assist with resolving data quality issues and improve data analysis.Build statistical analysis and machine learning models using strategic analytics technologies.Support the transition to new data analytics operational patterns.Work with ICT to define user access management and integration requirements.Requirements: Demonstrated technical data engineering skills with experience in integrating and modelling complex and diverse data sets.Experience in planning, designing, and implementing large-scale data loading and processing solutions.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend innovative approaches to data management.Understanding of data modelling and master data management principles.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work independently.Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are interested in this position.
