About the Roles The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is gearing up for a major transformation in the way our people work. The Business Transformation Program (BTP) will reshape our corporate services operating model and technology, positioning us to become a truly insights-driven organisation. At the heart of this transformation is our values-driven Finance and Contracts Division, leading initiatives that enhance efficiency, promote data-informed decision-making, and streamline services across the PTA.
Currently, there are exciting opportunities within both the Business Transformation and the Procurement and Commercial Services branches for individuals eager to be part of this change. We are currently seeking two skilled procurement professionals to join our division.
As the Commercial Advisor, you will provide expert guidance on commercial strategies, manage procurement processes, and ensure compliance and risk management to support the BTP's objectives. In this role, you will support activities related to procuring new technology that is essential for our transformation, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the selected solutions align with our Design Principles.
The Senior Sourcing Officer develops contracts for medium-value, medium-risk requirements and may be involved with high-value, high-risk procurement activities under supervision, or in a supporting role. Staff in these roles provide advice to various stakeholders on procurement policy, procurement planning, contract formation and/or contract management activities.
About You You're someone with a solid foundation in procurement, contracts, or commercial advisory and are looking to grow your skills at the PTA. You have a keen eye for detail and thrive on supporting complex procurement processes and working collaboratively to deliver business objectives. You're proactive, solutions-focused, and bring a strong sense of accountability to your work.
To excel in these roles, you should possess:
Knowledge and/or experience of government procurement policies and procedures.Demonstrated experience relevant to the JDF(s).Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet shared goals.Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective consultation, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management.Proficient written communication skills for preparing procurement and technical documentation.Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective organisational skills to manage priorities, meet milestones, and adhere to deadlines.About Us The Public Transport Authority's (PTA) vision is to be recognised as a leader in providing world-class public transport services and solutions. This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made.
