Job DescriptionExecute work with strict compliance of agreed inspection and test plan to ensure the integrity and compliance of the item with the requirements of international codes, standards, specifications and customers' project specifications requirements.Carry out the inspections as per the ITP for precast concrete components, and RC Structures and civil works of prefabricated buildings.Conduct pre-inspection meetings in order to understand and establish the quality and inspection requirements as per the applicable codes, standards, specifications and project requirements.Monitor the concrete test such as slump test, air content, the temperature of the concrete and unit weight as per ASTM and project specification during the manufacturing of Precast structural elements.Carry out the technical evaluations for the manufacturer facility for Structural and Precast elements.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet Quality expectations.Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.QualificationsRelevant degree or vocational diploma graduate or equivalentGood English language skills.For senior inspectors, 7-10 years of inspection experience in manufacturing plants, including 5 years of inspection experience in specific commodity and processes to be inspected.Fully conversant with applicable Industry standards, specifications, and fabrication methods and able to perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision as required to verify vendor compliance with the purchase order requirements.Ability to read engineering drawings.Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and implementation.Experience in inspection of asphalt/concrete mix ingredients in accordance with the applicable ASTM, AASHTO or ACI procedures and guidelines.Ability to assess the plant QC laboratory to determine that their equipment, procedures/techniques, sample recording and result reporting compliance with the applicable standards.
