General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Full time The Opportunity:
This organisation is seeking a proven Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its IT function to the next stage of maturity while supporting the current business state and enabling an exciting future growth state.

The role is initially 12-month fixed-term with a high potential for extension, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving organisation.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the CIO will report directly to the CEO and play a central role in creating and shaping the organisation's IT strategy and direction.

What the CIO Will Do: Drive IT Maturity: Lead the development and execution of a strategic IT roadmap, focusing on governance, system improvements, and scalable long-term IT initiatives.Leadership Development: Mentor and guide the IT team, enhancing both technical and leadership capabilities within the department.Strategic and Operational Focus: Maintain a balance of 30% strategy, 30% operations, and 30% leadership in day-to-day activities.Systems Oversight: Oversee the optimisation and clean-up of 70+ existing systems, ensuring robust IT governance.
Lead the implementation of a new Dynamics 365 CRM system.Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead a major cybersecurity initiative, embedding robust security practices across the organisation's IT infrastructure.Data Governance & Reporting: Champion strong data governance practices, support the delivery of the organisation's data platform, and drive data-led decision-making across the business.Change Management: Lead and support the IT team through a period of significant transformation, ensuring smooth alignment with internal and external stakeholders.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the CEO, CFO, and ELT members, as well as external partners, to ensure strategic alignment and seamless cooperation.What the Organisation Is Looking For: Proven success in elevating IT maturity within small to medium-sized organisations and/or greenfield environments.Experience leading change management initiatives and guiding teams through significant organisational transformation.Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a passion for developing both technical and leadership skills within teams.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and provide clear, concise updates to the board.Technical expertise in driving IT governance, system improvements, and data architecture initiatives.A delivery-focused mindset, with a proven track record of successfully executing complex IT and business change programmes.Why Join This Organisation?
