Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the Chief Financial Officer will ensure effective financial governance and compliance, provide strategic advice, and lead procurement and risk management functions. You will play a key role in fiscal management, audit and reporting, and assist in delivering the Office's strategic objectives and supporting the Governor's constitutional, ceremonial, and civic responsibilities. You will bring extensive knowledge in fiscal management, auditing, taxation, and payroll, ideally within the public sector, and hold relevant qualifications (CPA/CA).
The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic financial management and leadership, ensuring the effective and efficient management of the Office's budget, assets and resources, compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and providing high-quality financial advice and support. The Chief Financial Officer supports the Director Corporate Services in developing and implementing the Office's procurement, contract management and risk management frameworks and practices to best support the Governor to fulfil their constitutional, ceremonial, and civic responsibilities and achieve the Office's strategic objectives.
The Opportunity:
This is a permanent, full-time role where you will contribute directly to the Governor's mission. You will lead financial planning, manage risk frameworks, and offer strategic advice that aligns with the Office's objectives. Collaborating closely with the Director Corporate Services, you will shape policy, analyse data trends, and ensure best practices in compliance, budgeting, and asset management.

About you:
You are a financial leader with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. You bring extensive expertise in fiscal management, preferably in the public sector, and are adept at providing timely advice on complex fiscal matters. We are seeking someone with high proficiency in compliance, risk management, and procurement, along with a hands-on approach to supporting and training team members in financial processes.
