The position will have a dual focus on both organisational digital strategy and service delivery digital strategy. Organisational digital strategy will explore areas including: courts technology and systems interfaces; video conferencing in youth justice service centres and youth detention centres; rostering and overtime systems; inventory and trust account systems; and visitor management systems as well as the future of the Detention Centre Information Operating System. Service delivery digital strategy will work with practice areas and service delivery teams to explore digital enablers for engagement with Young People.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and high-level advice and options to the Deputy Director-General, Director-General, governance committees and senior management teams about strategic digital opportunities and risks to the department.Drive the department's digital strategy and build strategic investment and planning practices to enable digital transformation across the department while ensuring alignment with whole-of-government strategies, policies and standards.Work closely with critical stakeholders, both internal and external to the department, to advance the department's digital agenda and translate business needs into clear technical requirements for delivery by vendors and partners.Deliver a portfolio wide view and focus on the department's key digital projects and initiatives, aligning initiatives to strategic priorities, working across the department to resolve conflicting priorities, dependencies, risks and issues, and monitoring and reporting on implementation progress of these in line with departmental and whole-of-government portfolio management practices.Cultivate collaborative relationships and trusted partnerships with stakeholders across the department and government with a focus on effective engagement, advocacy and negotiation for improved YJ service delivery outcomes.Job Ad Reference: QLD/602457/24 Closing Date: Wednesday, 20th November 2024
