About the Home Bupa Woodville is a modern care home located on Woodville Road where you'll be close to the local community with schools, parks, churches and cafes nearby. It consists of 108 beds, with various care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents. About the Role As a Chef at our care home, you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment. Your passion for food along with your person-first approach will make a real difference to the life of our residents. This is a permanent role paying between $37.02 and $38.03 plus super, subject to years of experience. Duties Management of all food preparation and cooking activitiesLiaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' dietary, individual and cultural needs are metEnsure the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering servicesLead, coach and develop catering/kitchen staffImplement and maintain all infection control and food safety proceduresPerform administrative duties related to the kitchen operationSkills and Experience Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is essential Previous experience gained in a similar role ideally within the aged care industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly developed organisation and time management skillsThe ability to solve problems independently An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and OutcomesBenefits of Bupa Supportive, collaborative, and caring team cultureContinual learning and development opportunitiesFlexible working shifts and arrangementsInternal transfers across our care homes How to Apply Click Apply to be taken to our online application process.
