Cfo - Brisbane Queensland

Details of the offer

An outstanding smaller mining group has been undertaking considerable investment and preparation for production commencing in Q1, CY25.
They are currently undertaking further tenement acquisition and exploration, upgrading, and commissioning the plant, and ensuring all elements of an operating mine are well-established in this final phase before production.
The owners are experienced professional investment groups, with a clear and committed vision to scale this business into a highly profitable, successful mining enterprise.
With a proven and experienced CEO, the management team and other key staff are in place, with a planned and structured hand over to a new CFO as the final element to this team.
The CEO and owners are committed to a safe, positive team culture.
A diverse team with creative and innovative thinking, passion for outcomes, and commercial integrity is uppermost in the behaviours of their management team.
A clear commitment to HSEQ, stakeholder engagement, inclusiveness, and respecting diversity are critical hallmarks of their leadership and business ethos.
The role of CFO reports into the CEO and is a key part of this senior leadership team, and potential successor to the CEO in the future.
The business has a head office in Brisbane, with an established and expanding mining operation in FNQ.
This role leads a small Finance and Admin team in Brisbane, engages across the business, and with key stakeholders and suppliers, balancing the leadership of overseeing the internal function and external parties and investment level activities.
In addition, the parent entities are offshore, with highly experienced international finance and commercial executives.
Well-proven reporting systems and engagement with key stakeholders will be a key element of this role, whilst ensuring all internal finance functional services are in place.
You will be expected to participate in capital raising, pre-listing and related actions into the future, as well as capital investment planning and board-level reporting.
You ideally have mining-related finance management experience, have worked in a SME level group, and understand the hands-on, team-based culture needed to add value from day one.
In addition, a CPA or CA is preferred to complement your 10 plus years of finance management depth.
