About the role - Permanent, full-time The Broker Lending Specialist is responsible for the processing and submission of broker originated lending applications via People's Choice Credit Union, ensuring agreed SLA's are met, compliance is adhered to and there is consistent and timely communication of the highest standard to the mortgage broker.
The role will require ownership of each loan application from when the initial application is received through to formal approval along with being a key contact for loan scenarios.
By working in collaboration with our stakeholders, the Broker Lending Specialist will ensure the best outcome for the lender and their members, but also maintain a high level of risk management and awareness.
What you'll be doing: Process and manage each broker loan application from application to formal approval within agreed SLAs, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer service experience and positive member outcomes.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including the Broker Support and Credit Assessment teams.
Providing timely updates (written and verbal) to mortgage brokers.
Demonstrating a commitment and understanding of relevant procedures and regulatory requirements.
Proactively assisting the broader team, attending broker meetings and events as needed.
About you: As a strong communicator, you strive to deliver seamless and superior customer service to ensure positive member outcomes.
You have a keen eye for detail and can demonstrate accuracy through your written and verbal communication skills.
This is a fast-paced role where you will lean on your prior lending and credit risk experience, and we will give you the autonomy to focus on the applications and their varying degree of complexity.

Location: This role can be undertaken from either our Flinders Street (Adelaide), Eagle Street (Brisbane) office or Chadstone (Melbourne) office.
