The College has a vacancy for a Boarding Supervisor (Live-In Arrangement), commencing in 2025.
This position is a member of the Boarding team, and reports to the Assistant Head of College – Boarding. The Boarding team is responsible for the care, support, and formation of boarders throughout their time at the College.
Boarding Supervisors are required to work an average of 13.6 hours of duty per week in the residences during College terms. The 13.6 hours of duty may include duties such as morning wake-up, afternoons or evenings on weekdays or weekends.
In addition, all Boarding Supervisors are expected to:
be reliable, responsible and diligent in the supervision of boarding studentsabide by Marist College Ashgrove Code of Professional Conductcontact the Boarding Leader if special permissions for any boarding student are requiredbe the first point of contact for a boarding student during times of rostered dutyattend full boarding school meetings at the beginning of each termkeep accurate records of attendance for the boarderscomplete a shift summary at the completion of each set of dutiesMandatory requirements: This role requires a valid Working with Children Blue Card.Duty of Care certification, provided by the Australian Boarding Schools Association (or willingness to obtain).Current Advanced First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).Conditions: Residential accommodation, inclusive of utilities, is provided. Boarding Supervisors are entitled to all meals (21 chef-prepared meals per week!). Boarding Supervisors are rostered an average of 13.6 hours per week at the rate of $31.59 per hour. Deductions for meals and accommodation apply.
In accordance with clause 14.7.1 of the EA, the following deductions may be made from your rate of pay after tax, including from any allowances, overtime, or penalty rates you might be entitled to:
Deduction for accommodation: $255.35 pw. Deductions for meals: $56.00 pw.
