About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice. Reporting to the Base Maintenance Production Supervisor, this role offers the opportunity to develop key skills, gain hands-on experience, and work towards earning a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics). Responsibilities are set out in the applicable Company manuals/expositions or advised by your Supervisor from time to time (not limited to) including:
Complete scheduled aircraft maintenance tasks and troubleshoot and repair aircraft defects while following approved maintenance data, ensuring maintenance documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and our approved procedures.Record and report any defects found during the performance of maintenance to the Certifying Employee and on the applicable Maintenance Record.Be responsible for personal tool control and accountability of all tool and equipment used in maintenanceBe responsible for the general condition, up-keep and housekeeping of any hangar, workshop or related work areas and vehicles ensuring all issued Aeronautical Products, Standard Parts and Materials are stored compliantly in accordance with published procedures.Ensure strict compliance with Engineering Work Health and Safety policy and procedures.Support and promote the Safety Management System, Quality Management System and maintain a Just Culture.Perform any other duties as directed by the LAME, Leading Hand, Senior Base Engineer or Maintenance Manager.Maintain a detailed apprenticeship journalBe responsible for the completion of aviation related study as requiredSelection Criteria Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent ResidentHold a valid Drivers LicenceAbility to undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testAbility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification CardAbility to pass a literacy and numeracy testKnowledge of the following:CASR Part 145 regulationsAviation MaintenanceAircraft Ground Handling & TowingHow to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity and believe your skills and experience align with the requirements of the role, please submit an updated resume highlighting your relevant experience and meeting any mandatory qualifications.
