APS6 Software Developer, Various LocationsAbout the role
As a Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of contemporary ACIC business applications. Hands on work will be a major part of your day, as your role will see you often embedded in software development teams to exercise your JavaScript and TypeScript skills to improve user interfaces. You will also participate, with senior colleagues, in developing proof of concepts to add new capabilities to applications. Part of your role will be maintaining existing software and keeping it up to date. You will work in a complex environment that will prize your ability to learn and adapt. An inquiring mind will be needed, as there will be a lot to learn both in the technical domain, but also across the varied business domains which our software serves. Expect to proactively engage with people in the organisation where you see issues or a better way of doing things, and be prepared to contribute heavily to the solutions. Your self-starting attitude and tenaciousness in running tasks down to completion will be highly valued.
