Our Ideal Candidate An accounting degree or any accounting study will be highly regarded. Highly analytical & organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced skills in use of Excel essential. A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to work in both a team and autonomously. Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with proven ability to meet established deadlines. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Ability to manage and contribute in a positive manner to change. Experience with payroll system Unipay helpful, but not essential. Being an effective team player and business partner within the business. Working independently, setting, and responding to changing priorities. What the Role Entails Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation and analysis of monthly management reports, accurately and on a timely basis as per Pickering's Group timetable. Balance Sheet reconciliations as per company standards. Reconciling all warranty/holdback/claim receivables for multiple franchises with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule. Assist other departments with ad hoc administration and accounting queries. Responsibility for maintaining and submitting financial reporting to manufacturers. Assist with year-end reporting and audit management. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, BAS, and FBT lodgement. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions. End to end processing of fortnightly payroll and monthly commissions, and associated accounting functions ensuring company compliance with all taxation, superannuation, and other legislative obligations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
