About this role
The Accountant will be responsible for analysing financial data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, developing budgets, and preparing financial reports. The role will work closely with various departments to ensure that projects are completed within budget and that the company's overall financial objectives are met.
Duties and responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to: Develop and maintain cost control systems and procedures to ensure that projects are completed within budget. Analyse financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for improving financial performance. Prepare and monitor project budgets, tracking actual expenditures against budgeted costs. Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time. Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to provide accurate and timely financial information to management. Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Participate in the development of long-term financial plans and budgets. Communicate financial information and analysis to senior management in a clear and concise manner. To be successful in this role you will have: Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, or similar experience. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in English and French. Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Why us?
