Not required to work in school holidayssalary packaging of up to $15,900 annuallyup to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS studentsongoing training and development opportunitiesdiscounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing productsgenerous Employee Referral Program.About the RoleThis 1 point Coordinator position has been established to help take forward the Catholic life of the school by further strengthening the partnership between the school and local parishes and for engaging young people into responsible participation in life, mission, work and the Catholic faith community through a range of initiatives and activities. The Youth Ministry Coordinator gives leadership to the promotion of and preparation of events such as World Youth Day, the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, Ignite Conference and SCS Evangelisation Days.The Youth Ministry Coordinator will form an important role within the Religious Education team as an effective teacher and contributor to the Evangelisation programs and promoting the Religious Dimension of the school.To excel in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
strong and active commitment to the practice of the Catholic Faith, with a well-developed understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Churchexperience and skills in engaging young people into the diverse works of the Catholic Churchan understanding of the emerging approaches to youth ministry and evangelisationcommitment to and passion for events such as World Youth Day, the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, and Ignite Conference, as pilgrimages of faith for young peoplecommitment to participate in and contribute to a formation program facilitated by Sydney Catholic Schoolshighly developed interpersonal and communication skillsgroup and teamwork facilitation skillscapacity to foster and strengthen relationships between the school and parish communitiesexcellent time management, organisational and administrative skills.The successful candidate will also possess the following qualifications:
