About the roleKelley Body Works is seeking a talented and experienced Workshop/Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our accident repair workshop in Mitchell, ACT.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of our workshop, while also contributing to the overall growth and success of the business.What you'll be doingManage and oversee all workshop activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality controlEnsure that all work is completed to the highest standards, in compliance with relevant industry regulations and Kelley Body Works' policiesLiaise with customers, providing updates on job progress and addressing any concerns or queriesDevelop and implement strategies to improve workshop productivity and efficiencyManage and mentor the workshop team, including technicians and support staffAssist with the development and implementation of training programs for workshop personnelPrepare and submit regular reports on workshop performance, highlighting areas for improvementCollaborate with the broader Kelley Body Works team to contribute to the company's overall strategic objectivesWhat we're looking forExtensive experience (5+ years) in a similar Workshop/Operations Manager role, preferably within the automotive industryStrong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair and maintenance proceduresExcellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a teamExceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvementProficient in the use of relevant workshop management software and tools (software training can be provided)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholdersWhat we offerAt Kelley Body Works, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
