The role Join Our Team as a WHS Advisor! Are you passionate about workplace health and safety?
The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is seeking a dedicated Work Health & Safety Advisor to play a key role in helping keep the BDA's staff, visitors and tenants safe.
In this role, you'll use your specialist skills and dynamic personality to develop and implement corporate-level and building management-specific WHS systems, programs, and procedures.

As a WHS Advisor, you will be responsible for maintaining incident reporting procedures, developing appropriate programs, and providing training to achieve continuous improvement in safety risk management.
You will also establish and maintain effective working relationships with BDA stakeholders, providing regular feedback on WHS procedures and guidelines.

In this role, you will contribute to promoting a safe workplace culture and environment by ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements and standards.
You will provide timely specialist advice on WHS issues, manage the implementation and maintenance of WHS management processes, and conduct regular site audits to support best practice approaches across BDA.

For more information read the full Role Description: Work Health & Safety Advisor What You Will Bring to the Role: Ability to balance competing demands and ensure high-risk matters are addressed within strict timeframes. Strong capability to promote a 'safety first' culture across BDA, building knowledge and understanding of compliance and reporting responsibilities. Experience in coordinating safety programs and annual WHS audit and inspection programs. Proficiency in using initiative and problem-solving to achieve results in line with operational guidelines and departmental policies. Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, upholding and promoting public sector values. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences and explain complex concepts clearly. Commitment to delivering high-quality customer-focused services and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. What is an essential requirement: Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline and/or relevant experience. Current driver's license. Experience with the interpretation and implementation of relevant WHS related legislation and industry standards and an understanding of NSW WHS legislative framework.
