Grade 5/6 - $93,295 - $102,941 p.a. + superannuation and annual leave loading

About us
Department of Communities and Justice, Statewide Services, Intensive Support Services (ISS) provide a diverse and dynamic work environment with a central focus on supporting children, young people, their carers and families to reach their potential. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Workforce Planner to support the rostering and workforce planning needs of two DCJ delivered residential care programs:
Sherwood Program, a secure, therapeutic residential care program Sherwood Program - Western Sydney Hub, caring for children and young people while a kinship, foster care, or other carer-based placement is identified. Join us to extend your knowledge, experience, and skills.
Your role
The successful applicant will develop and implement carer rosters and rostering patterns for the Sherwood Program and Sherwood Program - Western Sydney hub. The role works in strong partnership with program managers and services contracted to provide staffing solutions to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective staffing pipeline to enable quality delivery of residential care to some of the state's most vulnerable children.
As the Workforce Planner, you will:
Develop schedules in line with business needs. Provide day to day rostering support across the Sherwood teams. Work with program managers to analyse, develop and implement staffing schedules and rosters in line with program need. Provide staffing and shift advice to senior management. Assist with interviews, probity checks and tracking of recruitment for contingent labour staff. Identify best practice and service improvement initiatives to support meeting the team's KPI. What we're looking for
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Demonstrated experience in the development of high-quality schedules/rosters and exposure to forecasting and scheduling of contingent labour. A proficient communicator with excellent written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports. Sound data analysis skills with demonstrated capacity to forecast and ensure up to date rosters. Demonstrated capacity to work independently and strategically manage competing priorities. A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to develop solutions to meet needs. Appointments are subject to reference checks and the following pre-employment checks:
