They are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced WHS Manager to spearhead their WHS and wellbeing initiatives.
This role is pivotal in championing the highest safety standards and ensuring strict compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Lead and inspire a culture of safety and wellbeing among employees, students, visitors, and contractors.
Provide expert advice and strategic leadership in work health and safety.
Safety Management: Implement and oversee the Safety Management System.
Manage emergency preparedness and response, ensuring full compliance with WHS legislation.
Return to Work Management: Oversee workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
Manage wellbeing cases with a focus on positive outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships across all business levels.
Provide clear, fearless advice on high-risk areas.
Policy Development: Develop and maintain WHS policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure effective WHS practices.
Training: Design and facilitate comprehensive WHS training programs.
Promote and ensure the adoption of safe working practices.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to relevant committees.
Maintain stringent compliance with WHS legislation.
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Diploma in WHS or related field.
Current qualifications as a Building Fire Safety Advisor.
Certification as a Return to Work Coordinator and current First Aider.
At least 5 years of WHS management experience.
Prior experience in a tertiary environment is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of WHS compliance, workers' compensation law, and emergency management.
Proven ability to analyse complex WHS issues, develop policies, and provide strategic leadership.
Exceptional negotiation skills and issue resolution capabilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including training facilitation.
