We pride ourselves on assisting individuals, from a range of diverse cultural backgrounds, to live and participate in their community as they choose.About the RoleBased in our head office at Kirrawee, this is an opportunity to lead the WHS team to effectively design and deliver the Work, Health and Safety Management system at Sylvanvale, ensuring legislative compliance, injury prevention, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities Include:Implement our WHS Management System including establishing or improving policies, procedures, and processes to effectively reduce injury and illness.Day-to-day management of the WHS team to deliver on policy and procedure responsibilities, key projects, and improvement strategies.Provide expert work health and safety advice to frontline staff and leaders.Partner with Executive and leaders across Sylvanvale to build organisational work health and safety capability.Analyse data and trends to identify foreseeable hazards and put in place activities to minimise risk.Assist in the development and implementation of work health and safety strategies that align with overall business strategy.Oversee workers compensation claims management.About YouYou have a strong passion for people, leadership and exceptional service delivery.

You are a highly organised, solutions-focused professional who is responsive, intuitive, innovative, self-motivated, and driven to achieve great outcomes.To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:A minimum of 5 years' experience working in WHS and Injury Management.Relevant qualification in Work, Health & Safety Management or similar.Demonstrated understanding and outcomes related to injury prevention, return to work strategies, and workers compensation.Experience in strategic claims management and recovery at work processes.Exceptional reporting, policy, and procedure writing skills.Desirable:Knowledge of the disability services industry or other community service.Knowledge of LPR Workers Compensation Premium Model.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.Successful applicants will require a current Australian Drivers Licence and full Australian Work rights.
