The organisation
One of Australia's market leaders in decorative surface solutions is looking for a highly proactive and motivated individual to help drive specifications with architects, designers, and other similar key decision-makers. This company continues to grow rapidly around the country with a key focus on growth against market within key market segments.
Responsibilities Building long-term business relationships with leading architects, interior designers, and specifiers. Generate specifications for medium to large projects and follow this process closely to ensure the order is obtained. Work closely with other team members and departments to secure business after specifications are obtained. Drive sales and long-term pipelines for the business. Presentations to clients - one-on-one or in groups. CRM and recording details of client meetings, prospects, and follow-up opportunities. Attend tradeshows and trade evening events. About you... Previous study or experience in interior design, colour consulting, or architecture is highly desirable, but not essential. Experience in building material sales and decorative surfaces is also highly desirable, but not essential. Looking to forge a career in specification sales and ready to establish yourself from the ground up. Ability to network extensively to uncover opportunities ahead of the competition and publication in BCI or Cordells. Quickly understand the needs of the client and offer solutions from within the company product portfolio. Bring and/or build a close network of contacts and client relationships that lead to specifications.
