UNSW College is a wholly owned subsidiary of The University of New South Wales (UNSW). We're looking for an enthusiastic Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic UNSW College IT Team.
The Technical Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This position involves collaborating with Project Managers, Business Owners, and IT Teams to ensure solutions are both technically viable and seamlessly implemented. The role may span multiple projects at once or focus on a single, long-term initiative, fostering productive relationships with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Elicit, analyze, and document technical requirements, working closely with stakeholders, developers, and project teams. Collaborate with technical teams to develop and propose solutions that align with business needs and technical feasibility. Work with business and technical owners to identify areas for process improvement and facilitate workshops to design new processes. Create clear and detailed technical documentation, user stories, and system specifications. Ensure quality and accuracy of technical and functional requirements. The successful applicant will have (but not be limited to):
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent workplace experience. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in IT-related projects. Demonstrated experience in gathering technical requirements, creating technical documentation, and working with development teams. Experience in applying lean/continuous improvement skills.
