Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic WHS and Wellbeing Partner to lead and drive our client's work health and safety (WHS) and wellbeing programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees, aligning with regulatory standards, and partnering with key stakeholders to create a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development: Partner with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and Head of People Partners to develop and implement a comprehensive WHS and Wellbeing strategy that meets regulatory requirements and aligns with organizational goals.
Program Implementation: Drive the creation and execution of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS laws, regulations, codes of practice, and standards. Apply these effectively in line with our Code of Conduct and policies.
Expert Guidance: Provide expert advice on health, safety, and wellbeing matters. Analyze data to identify trends and emerging risks, and develop proactive strategies to address them.
Committee Leadership: Lead and coordinate the WHS Committee, ensuring active engagement with stakeholders and effective implementation of actions and recommendations.
Case Management: Manage cases related to work and non-work-related injuries, ensuring compassionate and efficient return-to-work processes.
Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with Comcare and other regulatory bodies, serving as the primary point of contact.
About You:
Experience: Extensive experience in WHS consulting or advisory roles, with a proven track record in developing and implementing WHS strategies and programs.
Case Management: Demonstrated expertise in managing complex WHS cases, including claims management and compliance with WHS legislation.
Audit and Coordination: Experience with internal and external audits, coordinating WHS Committees, and implementing effective actions.
Analytical Skills: Ability to balance detailed analysis of business reporting with a strategic outlook to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
Legislative Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and safety legislation, regulatory environments, and leading WHS practices.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Health Science, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
