About us: Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is a 99 bed facility that provides acute care services to Armidale and the surrounding towns.
The hospital provides a range of services including Imaging, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Emergency, Maternity, Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, and General Medicine.
This position is based in the busy General Medical Unit relies on the Ward Clerk for smooth running of the day to day processes.
The Wards Clerk is the first point of contact for families & visitors and an is essential part of the team within the General Medical Unit. About the job: The role of the wards clerk is to provide efficient and effective administrative/clerical service within the facility, maintain consistent, high quality customer service and support to the team within the General Medical unit.
The successful applicant will be able to communication effectively with staff from all levels of the organisation as well as patients and their families.
You will be working alongside a dedicated and supportive team that works together to achieve common goals.
Support will provided by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator and Clinical Support Officer of the General Medical Unit.
All relevant job specific training and assistance will be provided.

About you: The successful candidate will have to a high attention to detail, good communication skills and excellent computer knowledge.
They will need to be flexible and adaptable to ever changing work priorities and be able to demonstrate attention to detail with a very high level of accuracy when working with a range of
computer systems and processes.
