Our business
The Global Markets Securitised Products Group (GMSP) is focused on originating, financing and structuring both public and private securitisations backed by a range of asset classes including residential mortgages and commercial and consumer assets.
We are currently recruiting for an Associate / Vice President to join the Structured Finance Syndicate segment within the GMSP team, based in Sydney. The Australian structured credit market is extremely active, and the GMSP business has grown significantly in recent years, to become a very meaningful participant on ABS and RMBS transactions. This role will offer the successful applicant a chance to develop their skills and network in this space with a market leading team.
Key Duties
Primary focus on syndicating public securitisation transactions and accessing global pools of capital for new and existing clients
Manage the primary issuance process from start-to-finish, collaborating with various stakeholders from the pitch stage, through deal execution, syndication and pricing
Attend client meetings as you build your network and experience and represent syndicate in internal and external dialogue
Help to generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients. Identify trends in the Australian structured credit markets and provide market insights, track investor demand and market conditions
Communicate with the sales force to stay abreast of investor demand and feedback
Support the origination team in maintaining client relationships and communicate relevant trends based on an understanding of client's strategic objectives
Ensure all deals comply with policy and regulatory requirements and industry standards
Assist the origination team in the establishment and structuring of private securitisation transactions
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience, ideally within syndicate, capital markets, securitisation or structured finance
Market awareness including an understanding of capital markets, pricing and distribution strategies
Detail oriented with strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management skills and the capacity to make fast, accurate decisions in a dynamic market environment
Effective verbal and written communication
Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
