The Vice President (VP) - Remarketing is a critical Executive Leadership position with overall responsibility for the Used Trucks department in Australia.
This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring continued client satisfaction, growth and sustained profitability of the brand as market leader.
Reporting directly to the President of Volvo Group Australia, this role is crucial in ensuring that our remarketing activities are industry-leading and meet volume, revenue, and expense targets.
This is an incredible opportunity to truly shape the future of the truck remarketing industry and is a highly strategic position for the group.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and implement strategic plans to advance Volvo's Remarketing operations, aligned with Volvo Group Australia's overall business objectives.
Lead the department to achieve profitability, market share growth, and customer satisfaction, working closely with Retail and Wholesale businesses on marketing initiatives and promotions.
In collaboration with Volvo, Mack and UD VPs, build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects, maximizing buy backs to enable new truck sales as well as Total Solutions for our clients.
Local, interstate and occasional international travel will be required.
Manage and report on departmental budgets, assets, and overall business performance, providing regular financial and business updates to the President of VGA and the Executive Team, including detailed brand contribution analysis.
Develop and implement effective pricing strategies, overseeing valuations, sales administration, ordering, and forecasting processes.
Ensure timely and high-quality product pipeline, maximize residual value, ensure quick turnaround on vehicle deliveries whilst maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
Develop strong marketing intelligence, stay abreast of industry trends, ensure governance and compliance requirements to keep the department informed and competitive.
Who are you?
A visionary and passionate leader that models ownership of your function with a proactive ability to build a successful brand and execute innovative strategies.
Demonstrated experience in sales with a successful track record of delivering to and exceeding targets.
A strong passion or extensive knowledge of the Used Truck, Construction Equipment, OEM, Financing or related market, vehicle specifications and current market value knowledge is advantageous.
A customer and team first focus with a solutions-based approach, motivated by continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills, an ability to effectively prioritise and proven relationship building ability at all levels.
A Motor Dealer License in Queensland is required and will be provided if not already obtained.
