Currently, we are progressing development plans to develop a series of expansion projects in the region.Our vision is to be the leading gold producer, setting the industry benchmark in safety, teamwork, innovation, operational efficiency, and cost control.ABOUT THE ROLEEnsure personnel are adequately inducted and trained in their work area, and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures applicable at Norton's operationsDevelop appropriate induction and training of all personnel at the underground operations.Actively contribute to safety policy, new initiatives and implement change as directed by the management team.Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated according to policy and statutory requirements.Provide feedback on personnel assessments to the relevant Superintendent and/or Manager.Provide expert advice to managers and officers in relation to legal obligations, policies, systems and procedures.Ensure that all relevant reports, documentation and plans are developed, approved and submitted to meet the obligations under the relevant legislation and government policies.Assist with the development, implementation and review of applicable policies, procedures and risk management plans.Work closely with all departments to ensure competency assessment and development is ongoing to meet all statutory and business requirements and targets.Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all operators to ensure skills requirements are met.Communicate changes to procedures to ensure clear understanding.Carry out training and re-training of self to remain up to speed with changing trends in adult learning concepts.Participate in Emergency and Rescue Training and mock evacuations.Maintain an accurate and full account of all training, inductions and assessments conducted.Maintain an accurate and full account of all standard operating procedures, emergency procedures and plans and Job Hazard Analysis.Provide assistance to fellow trainers in other departments as required.Any other duties as required.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience in a similar role.Minimum Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.Certificate IV in Occupation Health & safety (desirable).BENEFITSPermanent full-time role with immediate startExcellent remuneration package with additional allowancesReceive $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO.Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location.Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary.A fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover.A fully covered Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance or allowance up to $2.4k.Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.Work with a team that prioritises safety while ensuring you achieve your best output.Opportunity for learning and development through various training programs provided by the company.APPLY NOW...This can be your new beginning at a company that values its people and strives to enhance Diversity and Inclusion.Norton is recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Australian Government's Workplace Gender Equality Agency.
