The Faculty of Education have successfully obtained Commonwealth funding under the High Achieving Teachers scheme for the School-based Teacher Education Program (UC STEP).
This innovative program will provide an employment-based pathway for 30 Master of Primary Teaching and Master of Secondary Teaching students, known as STEP Teaching Fellows.
These fellows will gain valuable experience through part-time roles with the ACT Education Directorate, supported by mentorship and coaching.
Position Purpose: The UC STEP Program Support Officer will play a crucial role in assisting the Director of STEP with student recruitment, support, financial and project management, as well as calendar and email management.
Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of UC STEP, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Administration and Financial Management: Oversee the administration, communication, and financial aspects of the STEP Program.
Stakeholder Support: Provide quality administrative advice and support to all stakeholders, ensuring excellent service delivery.
Process Management: Develop and manage efficient procedures, processes, and systems to ensure the smooth operation of the STEP program.
Advisory Board Management: Organize and manage STEP Advisory Board meetings and related tasks.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required, appropriate to the classification level.
Qualifications and Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience in project management and administrative support.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
