About the role:
We have a newly created opportunity for a Treasury Manager to join our team at Australian Vintage. In this role you will take ownership of the organisation's treasury function, overseeing foreign exchange management, hedging strategies, and oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function. This role is essential in ensuring effective liquidity management, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal financial policies. The role collaborates with key stakeholders, such as senior management, external financial institutions, and internal departments (AR, AP, and Payroll), to ensure that treasury operations align with the organisation's broader financial objectives.
What You'll Do:
Oversee cash flow monitoring and ensure the organisation maintains sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
Optimise cash utilisation across multiple currencies and manage both short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting.
Ensure timely release of Accounts Payable based on currency availability and forecasts.
Maintain strong banking relationships, act as the primary contact for treasury activities, and ensure compliance with banking covenants.
Manage foreign exchange exposure, implement hedging strategies, and align AR/AP processes with currency conversion needs.
Lead the AR and AP teams, ensuring effective working capital management and timely financial processing.
Provide monthly treasury reports and cash flow forecasts to senior management, keeping them informed on foreign exchange and hedging performance.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements, and support the preparation of regulatory filings.
Collaborate with senior management and internal teams to align treasury operations with business goals, and engage with external auditors and financial institutions as needed.
What You'll Bring:
A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CTP.
At least 5 years of experience in treasury management or related finance roles, with expertise in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and multi-currency transactions.
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing and developing finance teams.
Excellent relationship-building skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external financial institutions.
Proficiency in financial systems such as JD Edwards or SAP.
A strategic mindset with the ability to manage risk and optimise financial processes in a global business environment.
