Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting)
This role is pivotal in providing specialist financial advice and commercial analysis. The ideal candidate will not only excel in financial reporting and analysis but also be a proactive partner in driving continuous improvement across all processes and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Active management of all reporting and analysis generated on a monthly, annual, and long-term frequency for the project team.
Ensure the achievement of financial performance targets and initiatives through:
Provision of timely and accurate insightful performance analysis focused on informing decision support.
Ensuring complete and accurate monthly functional financial performance reporting.
Delivery of rolling monthly forecasts reflecting all risks, opportunities, trending assumptions, and initiatives.
Responsible for initiating, collaborating, driving, and influencing the annual planning process to include:
Critical review of budgets to ensure year-on-year continuous improvements and financial optimisation.
Incorporate all business improvement initiatives and strategic objectives.
Manage strategic Digital Transformation projects, including understanding budget commitments both current and future, ensuring governance around contract approvals and burn rates, and keeping across the day-to-day of projects to keep things under control with the project managers.
All other reporting and analysis relevant to the function that may be ad-hoc in nature and required from time to time (e.g., short-term projects, Board Papers; Policy and Procedures).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce (or equivalent) is essential.
CA/CPA qualification.
Skills and Experience:
2 - 5 years experience in a similar role.
Advanced analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with financial modelling and reporting.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and balance competing priorities.
Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across various functions.
