Your new role
As the Shift Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management of the Charter Division of the business. You will be responsible for managing a team of 2 and for the smooth delivery of a number of contracts to government and private clients. The Shift Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling Charter and Commercial operations at the St Marys Depot.
You will be an integral part of the broader team and will cover a range of duties including:
Provide overall accountability for ensuring drivers are efficiently allocated to cover all Charter servicesBe an agent for continuous improvementThe incumbent is responsible for ensuring that manpower and buses are allocated to deliver services as requiredUndertake toolbox meetings at off-site locationsBe an active participant in the WH&S and Consultative committeesMonitor all Charter Services using TelematicsResponsible for providing clear and concise communication with driversSign off and approve overtime requirementsWhat you will bring to the role Previous experience in similar role managing multiple contractsPrevious experience in transport-related role highly desiredFriendly team orientated attitudeHighly organisedAbove-average communicatorConfident mannerAble to operate under pressure and stay consistentWhat next
