Kuehne+Nagel is looking for an experienced, dedicated National Contract Logistics Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team.
You can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Your Role You will be a key part of our Contract Logistics team.
Your leadership, negotiation + operational skills will ensure a continued positive Customer Experience + Operational Excellence.
Your Responsibilities Your primary objective will be to manage the entire Australian domestic distribution network in accordance with the overall strategic plan, with a high focus on growth, profitability + customer retention.
You will achieve this by leading and developing your team while simultaneously collaborating with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.
To manage the performance of your team in order to achieve agreed client service levels + costs within budgetary requirements.
To ensure a safe A+ compliant environment in line with both internal standards, local legislation + external regulations.
To analyse our transport network + identify + implement strategic strategies to create further efficiencies, with a focus on achieving our sustainability goals.
To lead process implementation to ensure a continuous improvement culture is maintained.
Your Skills and Experiences We look for potential as well as performance.
To be successful, you will bring strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of 3PL transport operations, a strong commercial acumen + the ability to cultivate long term customer relationships.
We value diverse thinking, active listening + the ability to challenge yourself.
Additionally, you will: Have 10+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, 3PL + operations, ideally in a managerial or strategic role.
Lead, inspire + develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration + shared success.
Make sound, timely decisions that balance business priorities, operational needs + customer outcomes.
Put the customer at the centre of everything you do, delivering exceptional value + strengthening relationships.
Anticipate future trends + challenges, setting a clear direction to achieve ambitious goals.
Drive business success through an understanding of financial performance, budgets + sustainable growth.
Break down complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions in dynamic business environments.
Align team with a compelling vision, motivating them to deliver results that support company goals.
