Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time BK Civil Group is a civil construction company based near Toowoomba, Queensland.
For the past 18 years, we have completed projects in multiple sectors including infrastructure, mining & resources, oil and gas, agriculture, construction, road, rail, local and state government.
We specialise in bulk earthworks and most of our projects are currently located in Queensland and New South Wales.
About the Job We are seeking a Transport Scheduler to be based at our head office outside Toowoomba.
Ideally, you will have experience in heavy vehicle scheduling or logistics.
You will be responsible for the daily organisation and scheduling of our truck drivers and heavy vehicles, and working closely with the workshop team to coordinate repairs and maintenance for the fleet.
This role will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, utilising our Fleet Management Software and reporting key metrics to our Management Team.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the effective and efficient scheduling of our heavy transport fleet.Work in a team and collaborate with our Plant Scheduler to arrange mobilisation/demobilisation of our bulk earthmoving equipment.Organise truck drivers and trucks for local and remote projects.Collaborate with our workshop team regarding repairs and scheduled maintenance for the transport fleet.Commit to implementing Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations, Chain of Responsibility, and all other legislative requirements.Maintain equipment registers and use our scheduling software to organise drivers, trucks, and maintenance.Ensure complete compliance for vehicle registration payments.Monitor and report on KPIs and ensure continued and improved service delivery for our clients.Key Attributes Good organisation and prioritisation skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients and seek new business opportunities where possible.Completed, or able to complete, TLIF0001 Chain of Responsibility and TLIF0005 Fatigue Risk Management and uphold an attitude that prioritises safety in the workplace.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.Previous experience in transport scheduling and use of Fleet Management Software.Previous experience in heavy transport either as a truck driver or fitter and/or knowledge of Drake Floats and the transportation of Heavy Equipment.HC truck licence highly desirable.To apply for this role, please submit your application via SEEK and attach your CV in Word format.
