The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing industrial and employee relations practices that align with organisational goals and comply with regulatory and legislative requirements. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Providing expert advice to internal teams on industrial relations, compliance, and policies to support organisational goals;Advising the business on public sector employment legislation;Assisting in developing and improving employee relations and industrial strategies with Senior Leaders;Collaborating with leaders and employees to foster positive relationships with external stakeholders, including unions;Managing union relations, promoting a collaborative approach to industrial relations issues;Coaching leaders to build skills in employee relations and the implementation of policies;Preparing and presenting strategic advice on complex employment issues, including risks and options;Resolving industrial disputes and lead high-level negotiations as needed;Supporting employee grievance resolution and manage investigations effectively; andRepresenting the business in industrial relations matters at forums and other tribunals.About You
With developed knowledge of public sector employment legislation, you will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver timely outcomes across a broad range of ER matters. With a penchant for seeking new and innovative ways of working, you will have an innate ability to think critically and propose practical solutions.
