CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane's Cross River Rail. Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Reporting to the project's Shared Services Director, the Training Advisorwill implement and maintain the core training requirements for the project's direct hire workforce (blue and white collar) as well as subcontractors.
The key accountabilities for this rolewill be:
Provide advice to internal stakeholders and subcontractors on apprenticeship and traineeship and workforce upskilling opportunities to meet the Building and Construction Training Policy (Training Policy) and Best Practice Principles Monitor, audit and report on the training performance against agreed Training Policy targets Maintain the training requirements, plans, systems, policies and procedures that comply with all aspects of the relevant client and legislation requirements Provide governance over the project's LMS and site access system Monitor the training and skills development needs of the workforce and implement training programs to that address identified deficiencies Develop relationships with various training providers to ensure training can be sourced in line with project needs Work with internal stakeholders on continuous improvement programs that increase safety and productivity outcomes Maximise funding arrangements through project training activities including, but not limited to, trainee/ apprentice incentive funding, CSQ funding, and payroll tax rebates & exemptions Provide advise and insight to external parties such as Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) & relevant Government departments on training challenges and or workforce trends Provide supervision and mentoring to Training Coordinator and Administration roles Our minimum requirements for this role are:
Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment Tertiary qualification in Training & Development, Education or a related discipline is highly regarded Minimum 4-5 years' experience in training administration, delivery & / or development in a construction or heavy industry in a Vocational Education and Training role Experience in applying the Qld Government Training Policy in the building and construction industry Experience in developing and/or delivering innovative training solutions within the building and construction or heavy industry that addresses skills or curriculum gaps At CBGU JV, we are committed to workplace diversity and providing opportunities on our project.
