The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group.
NAC based in Acland, 35km north-west of Toowoomba, has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

We are seeking a dayshift only 7/7 Operations Trainer and Assessor based on site at NAC.
This position will involve training and assessing new and existing workers with a focus on improving safety.
The Operations Trainer and Assessor will oversee training for the Production and Maintenance teams to ensure operational standards are met.
You will provide technical support, leadership and coaching whilst ensuring compliance with site policies and procedures.
About the role:Conduct training and assessment activities which align with the Training Needs Analysis for Operational Teams (Production and Maintenance)Hold and maintain qualifications, and be authorised, for the task/activity for which you are conducting training and/or assessment activities or utilisation of relevant technical expertReport on training attendance and quality of training providedSupport training of new starters and new to industry programsReview training materials on a regular basisLiaise with workplace supervisors, Training Advisor and other workplace trainers and assessors, conduct approved assessing functions as requiredAbility to use the approved software and systems to access, read, and print training documentation as requiredProcess approved training documents as requiredAssist with audits and reviewsYou will bring:Experienced on a range of heavy mobile mining equipment (3 or more) – Excavator, Loader, Dozer, Grader, Dump Truck etcRII or Signed verified machinery skills list (training transcripts)Experienced Mining Production Operator (Minimum of 5 years' experience)Demonstrated experience as a field trainer assessorEither Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40116 or TAE40122) or Enterprise Trainer CertificationYou will also hold or be willing to obtain relevant certifications including Supervisor Competencies (S1/2/3)Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteTime management skills and ability to complete tasks in a timely mannerAttention to detailWhat we offer:At NAC we make the health, safety, and well-being of our people our absolute priority and we are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment with the core objective that our people go home at the end of the day unharmed.
