Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Wajarri Enterprises Limited (WEL) is the Corporate Arm for the Wajarri Yamaji Group which comprises the Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation, the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for the Wajarri Yamaji People of the Gascoyne/Murchison region of Western Australia and the WWBL Trust (Winja Wajarri Barna Limited). The Wajarri Yamaji native title determination is one of the largest in Western Australia.
WEL have entered into a joint venture with Ventia to manage the SKAO Telescope Project construction camp, Nyingari Ngurra Village. The Project is an international effort to build the world's largest and most capable radio astronomy observatory, designed to enable transformational science that will change our understanding of the universe.
The Ventia WEL JV are looking for a dedicated and ambitious individual of Aboriginal descent to join our team at the Village as a Trainee Village Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
14 day on/7 day off roster. Meals and accommodation provided on site. Responsibilities: Attend formal classroom training to qualify for a Certificate 3 Frontline Management. Participate in learning all aspects of operating and managing an accommodation facility, including administration, housekeeping, catering, tavern and retail services, and facilities management. Requirements: High School Certificate preferred. Passion for hospitality management and guest satisfaction. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Candidates must be willing to participate in the following: National Police Check Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
