Students contribute to the Medical Imaging service delivery model within the Mackay Base Hospital under the delegation and practice supervision of a Radiographer in the provision of effective patient care.This role does not offer training to complete an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in sonography. This is a casual role for a student currently enrolled in a sonography qualification to work at MBH outside of their academic and clinical placements. There may be an opportunity for the successful applicants to perform US studies within their scope as their knowledge and skills develop, but this is at the discretion of the US team leader and Chief Radiographer. These opportunities will be supplemental to the clinical placements required by the student's university.About the TeamOur Medical Imaging Service is based at the Mackay Base Hospital and provides patient-centered Medical Imaging services, seven days a week.About our Hospital and Health ServiceWe have 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
