As a Trainee in our Nursery Space, you will be able to earn while you learn. You will be supported with formal and practical training to achieve your qualifications in early childhood education. As you do, you'll be learning from highly skilled and experienced professionals who are constantly seeking to innovate how we deliver teaching and learning programs.

Every day is an opportunity for growth at Doncaster East! Our spacious, bright and modern early learning Centre in Doncaster East provides leading learning programs in a nurturing environment for children aged six weeks to six years. Our Doncaster East Centre is a great choice for local families wanting high-quality education and care for their children. Guardian Doncaster East has an on-site library, an adjoining football oval, vegetable patches, a community garden and a range of age-specific workspaces and play areas. Children are encouraged to explore and learn, with learning programs bought to life across a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces. The Centre also boasts an 'Out and About' program that allows all age groups to explore our local community through excursions to various local landmarks. The culturally diverse team celebrate a variety of cultures, holidays, and host fundraisers throughout the year.


The Opportunity
As a part of our Trainee program, you will gain on the job experience whilst studying. We pay for the course, and you will receive an hourly rate for you full time contract. Upon completing the Traineeship, you will be issued a nationally recognised Certificate III in Children's services.
The Centre Manager, your team members and the program assessor will provide you with regular support. You will also enjoy;
Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators and the broader centre communityAssisting in providing a safe and stimulating environment that meets the social, cultural, emotional, and educational needs of the children and familiesPreparing the children's play and learning materials for the day's activities. Then in collaboration with your peers, extend children's thinking and learning through intentional teaching strategies, inspiring environments and spontaneous play experiences. To be considered for a Traineeship, you will: Be willing to work full time (38-hour week)Have a genuine interest in a long-term career within Early Childhood EducationBe an Australian citizen or permanent residentBe willing to commit to an 18-month traineeship programBe willing to obtain a Working with Children Check or state equivalent.
