Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Department of Health!
The Role :
As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the primary health care principles, Agency policy and direction, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide effective management of human and physical resources, and leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary inpatient mental health team.
You will need :
Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary inpatient mental health team, providing a high quality, comprehensive, specialist mental health service in accordance with principles and goals, and the associated model of care and relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines. Support the relevant NUM / ADON by assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes associated with the optimal operation of an inpatient mental health team, including intake, crisis response, interim support, case management and general team coordination. Provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge in all aspects of inpatient care. Actively participate in all multidisciplinary review processes at the unit level as required, including supporting staff to develop, monitor and evaluate clinical outcome measures. Act as an Authorised Officer under the Mental Health Act when required. Details of appointment :
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary :
$111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available :

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
