This has created an opportunity for an experienced New Product Development/Food Technology Manager to join the team and play a pivotal role in the next chapter of this historic business.
Benefits Varied and dynamic projects in a close-knit team environment Highly autonomous role with career development opportunities Join a successful, growing business with a portfolio of high-profile brands The Role Working closely with the Head of Innovation and Operations in the design and development of new and existing products, this busy and varied role will see the New Product Development/Food Technology Manager create, innovate, and deliver recipes that meet the business's targeted cost expectations while operating within the designated product development budget.
The role will also work closely with other internal teams, including Quality, R&D, Finance, Sales, and Procurement, to identify and assess emerging trends and market opportunities in line with changing requirements and regulations and provide technical advice to other related departments as needed.
Contributing to brand planning and product launches is also a key part of the responsibilities, alongside leading and supporting food safety principles, teamwork, and the timely delivery of projects.
Skills & Experience The right person will be Tertiary Qualified in a Food or Science-related discipline, with previous experience working in a Dairy Manufacturing environment and the desire to work in a close-knit team environment within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business.
They will demonstrate a successful track record working in a hands-on New Product Development/Food Technology position and be recognised for superior administration skills and communication. Proven experience in Food Regulation and labelling and strengths in decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving are also key requirements of this pivotal role.
The successful candidate will be able to create strong cross-functional partnerships both at site level and with external stakeholders and will promote true collaboration. They will also display a can-do attitude and have genuine passion, energy, and enthusiasm.
