The successful candidate will provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, within the ITIL framework.
Role responsibilities: Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health by establishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users. Provide timely application support activity reports to stakeholders. Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and deployment of application specific guides, work instructions and technical documents. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated high level understanding and technical skills in the following: Unix/Solaris System Administration including shell/bash scripting Database administration and management Query writing skills in RDBMS and/or NoSQL Scripting and automation Application programming experience / Proc and Databasic Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change / release and configuration management. Demonstrated high level technical expertise evidenced by the ability to provide professional support, advice and solutions. Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment. Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. Proactively identifies, analyses, and manages risks and produces documentation that reflects analysis, review, and decision-making processes. Specific Working Conditions: Participation in on-call arrangements will be required for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the relevant award will apply. Previous experience working with one or more of the below systems would be highly regarded: Hospital-based and/or patient management systems Non-relational databases, eg.
