ResponsibilitiesMonitor the progress of the Teacher Education Student (TES) while they are working at a school to fulfil their professional experience course requirements.Arrange a visit to the school to discuss the TES's progress with the TES and their Mentor Teacher(s).Observe at least one lesson taught by the Teacher Education Student, complete a lesson evaluation form (to be given to the TES) and debrief afterwards.Act on any matters of concern to the Teacher Education Student or the host school.Clarify issues relating to Alphacrucis University College assessments to be completed during the Professional Experience.Required Skills and ProficienciesCompletion of Bachelors or Masters degree in TeachingPrevious experience supervising teachers in schools and/or early learning centres.Understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education in Christian schools and/or early learning centres.Knowledge of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and/or the ACECQA National Quality Standards.Knowledge of TPA requirements is desirable but not essential.Proven leadership, people and communication skills.Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.Professional approach.Ability to work under pressure.Organisational and time management skills.Excellent attention to detail.Confident manner.Positive approach to change.Willingness to learnPracticing Christian with active Church involvementCurrent NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)How to applyTo apply for this role please click on the 'Apply Now' link and complete the online application.PLEASE NOTE: Due to high volumes of applications, only those shortlisted will be contacted.If you have any enquiries regarding the details of this role, please email Candidates must have an ongoing and unrestricted right to work in Australia to apply for this position
