The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to lead our dynamic team at our Lemnos site in Dandenong South.
As the Site Manager, you will oversee the operations of our award-winning cheese manufacturing site, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality are maintained at all times.
Reporting to the GM, Cheese, this role will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving business goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and manage a team of approximately 128 FTE that will vary during our high and low season, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure operational excellence.Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest standards of quality.Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the team, encouraging innovation and best practices.Take a lead role in driving safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.Plan and prepare all operations budgets and forecasts, aligning them with business goals and overall strategy.Review and recommend opportunities to reduce expenditure and improve efficiencies through BOMs, costing, and routings to ensure accurate product costing and inventory management.Our preferred candidate will have: Cheese making and management experience, preferably with soft cheese.Proven experience in a managerial role within food manufacturing, with a track record of successfully leading teams and optimizing operations.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.Experience in budget planning, financial analysis, and reporting.Understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively within a matrix organization.Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.Experience with SAP preferred but not essential.If you are a results-driven leader with a passion for continuous improvement, then come join our team and be part of a company committed to excellence in cheese manufacturing.
