Location: Hybrid Head Office in Cremorne with outreach to Bentleigh, Bayswater, and Vermont sites

About the RoleAre you passionate about making a tangible difference in women's lives? As a Tenancy Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting renters by providing high-quality tenancy services that are trauma-informed, culturally safe, and compliant with legislation. Working with Women's Housing Ltd, a progressive organisation driving meaningful change, you'll manage a portfolio of approximately 120 properties across three key sites and engage directly with clients and stakeholders to foster positive tenancy outcomes.
This role offers a hybrid work model, with on-site presence required on Tuesdays and flexible options for outreach and remote work on other days. A community-focused and development-driven approach will see you thrive in this meaningful position.
What You'll DoTenancy Management:Conduct interviews, assess eligibility, and prepare rental sign-ups.Address renter issues professionally, issuing notices and attending VCAT hearings as needed.Manage the end-to-end tenancy lifecycle, including inspections and compliance under the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA).Engagement & Support:Respond compassionately to complex renter issues and provide referrals to support services.Work closely with support agencies to achieve positive outcomes for renters.Conduct renter engagement activities such as house meetings.Administration & Compliance:Maintain accurate records and ensure KPIs are met, including rent arrears management and property vacancy timelines.Monitor property safety and compliance with all relevant legislation.Stakeholder Collaboration:Liaise with councils, contractors, support services, and other key stakeholders.Build and maintain strong professional relationships to enhance service delivery.About YouYou are a compassionate and driven individual with a knack for problem-solving and building strong relationships.
