We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company known for its expertise in engineering, construction, and project management services. The role is based at their West Perth office, where you'll be joining a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
The role
As a Temporary Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by managing reception duties, document control, and providing support with accounting-related tasks. Your responsibilities will include handling incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining organized records, and supporting the finance team with basic accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Reception Duties: Answer incoming calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.Document Control: Maintain accurate and organized document records, ensuring that all files are up to date and accessible.Accounting Admin Support: Assist with basic accounting tasks such as invoice processing, data entry, and record-keeping.Office Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of meeting rooms.Mail Handling: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring it is distributed promptly.Administrative Support: Provide ad hoc administrative support to the rest of the team as needed. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a similar administrative role, with a focus on document control and accounting-related tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) is highly desirable.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A proactive and flexible approach to work.Only candidates with the right to work in Australia will be considered (Australian Citizen, PR holder, or Valid Australia working VISA).Immediate Start What's on offer Attractive remuneration for the duration of the contract.Likelihood of extending the contract beyond the initial term, based on workload and performance.Join a supportive and collaborative team in a professional office setting.Conveniently located in West Perth with access to public transport and local amenities.What you need to do now
